Hi everyone - wanted to share something - sometimes I find it really hard to read the Bible and I go through dry lazy patches. I want to read God's word, know it's part of my essential diet, know without it I can't grow but somehow all this clear thinking doesn't translate into the simple necessary action. Ring any bells with you? Recently I've re-discovered my love for the Bible and re-kindled my love for God by listening to the Bible online read by David Suchet (he plays that shuffling Belgium detective Poirot who always works out the murderer!). You can pick any book of the Bible or any chapter and sit back with a coffee to enjoy his mellow voice reading God's amazing word. So if like me you are a 'stuggler' give it a go. Here's the link - have a quick listen now - and see if it could be the tonic you need. I'm currently listening to Genesis but have also enjoyed Esther and Acts. Drop a response if you find it's doing you good or if you have some other ideas.

I love listening in this way, especially as David reads so well, it can really help bring a passage to life if my brain isn't switching on!
I agree that listening along with reading the Bible keeps me on track. I have downloaded an audio Bible and prefer to speed it
